Phyllis Nomura - Co-Founder

Phyllis has a long and meaningful career in driving executive teams, business organizations and demonstrating leadership through all periods of business. When Phyllis was presented with the idea of joining MadeTrue Hair as co-founder, she knew this opportunity would be a transformative and inspiring role like no other. Phyllis has seen people she loves and cares for affected by cancer and medical hair loss, and MadeTrue Hair is one way for her to give back to a community she so deeply connects to. A childhood friend, her sister and her husband, Jeffrey Nomura (co-founder of MadeTrue) - these are her people who have been impacted, but her story isn’t so different than others. At MadeTrue she will dedicate her expertise in excellence of organizational performance. Throughout her career she has served as Chief Financial Officer for companies including Kosmos Management (Seattle, WA) and First Sound Bank (Seattle, WA), while volunteering with WestsideBaby, ArtsWest, Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center and the Seattle Aquarium.

Daniel Keane - Education & Creative Director

Daniel Keane is an internationally celebrated colorist, stylist, platform artist and teacher, and owner of Serenza Salon, one of the most popular and innovative salons just south of downtown Seattle in the community of Burien, Washington. Joining the MadeTrue team as Education & Creative Director, Daniel is on the pulse of creating wigs, directing hairdressers all over the U.S., and making an impact in the wig market for people struggling with medical hair loss. Known throughout his career in the beauty business as an expert in groundbreaking cut and hair coloring techniques, Daniel works with the MadeTrue Personal Concierge to consult and educate a team of compassionate individuals spanning the health & wellness and beauty industries to ensure the MadeTrue client receives the best possible customer service and custom-made wig.

Barry Shaich - Co-Founder and CEO

A beauty business veteran and visionary in launching new brands across multiple beauty channels, Barry Shaich is revolutionizing the wig business as a co-founder of MadeTrue Hair. He brings strategic experience from the early days of now Estee Lauder brand AVEDA, and a string of successes with KMS, Graham Webb International, American Crew and his own start-up brand Woody’s quality grooming, which he sold to industry leader American International Industries. A pioneer of social beauty commerce and brand awareness, Barry implemented successful programs for brands including Dermalogica, Ipsy, Freeman Cosmetics, Helen of Troy and many more. He is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the marketing and advertising industry. His strong entrepreneurship professional skills in marketing management, business planning, consumer products, sales, and retail will be an added value to MadeTrue.

Camile Friend - Hairstylist, Owner/Educator for Hair Scholars Salon, Ambassador & Educator for MadeTrue

Camille Friend is at the pulse of the beauty industry as a celebrity hairstylist, color specialist and master educator. She brings her unique cutting style and instruction to clients and hairdressers everyday in her Hair Scholars Salon. Her background includes coveted positions with Sebastian International, Vidal Sassoon and John Atchinson where she mastered her trademark precision haircutting techniques which enabled her to do expertise lace front wigs. Camille has worked with on-screen actors such as Elizabeth Banks, Sam Jackson, Julianne Moore, Don Cheadle and many others. Camille teaches her exclusive wig technique for television and film and is considered one of the most sought-after hair artists with film credits including “Black Panther,” “Avengers,” ”Charlie’s Angels," and more. A member of The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences® representing excellence in her craft, Camille is always first and foremost an inspiration and a committed member of the community supporting those in need. As an ambassador for MadeTrue, Camille will support, educate and lead hairstylists while imbuing her passion to wig recipients.

Jeffrey Nomura, CPA - Co-Founder, MadeTrue and MadeTrue Foundation

Jeff Nomura joins MadeTrue with 30+ years experience as a Chief Financial Officer and Internal Audit Executive. His extensive experience includes leading internal audit teams for Nordstrom and GE Capital, and Nabisco’s global operations. Recognized throughout his career for a strong combination of technical accounting and finance expertise, strategic business acumen, and the ability to recruit, mentor, and motivate large and diverse teams, Jeff’s strengths in nonprofit leadership and working within highly entrepreneurial environments are exactly what MadeTrue is all about. In addition to building and operating the business from a financial standpoint, he will oversee the MadeTrue Foundation which was recently founded to raise funds to outfit wigs for children who are experiencing medical hair loss.

Brent Hardgrave - Stylist, Colorist, and MadeTrue Educator and Ambassador

An expert stylist and extensionist, and gifted colorist, Brent Hardgrave has always had a passion for sharing his knowledge with hairdressers, stylists and manufacturers throughout the United States. Known for his innovative dry-cutting technique, Brent has personally touched many lives through his work including women with medical hair loss, thinning hair and “hormone hair.” Brent also invented and owns The Brent Brush which preserves and protects hair extensions.The Brent Brush also helps children with sensory processing issues, those affected with underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), women in perimenopause and menopause, as well as anyone with scalp sensitivity and severe health issues. Brent has made it his mission to create and style wigs in the most sensitive manner, as he supports people with hairloss. Brent’s compassion for the well-being of others empowers him to teach great wig cutting and styling techniques to inspire MadeTrue clients.
